StopTech Introduces 2008+ BMW M3 Brakes

StopTech has introduced a Big Brake Kit for the 2008+ E90/E92 BMW M3. StopTech’s Big Brake Kits provide shorter stopping distances, better brake modulation, firmer pedal feel and less brake fade resulting in stronger, more reliable performance on and off the track. The 2008+ E90/E92 BMW M3 BBK from StopTech comes with a pair of slotted or drilled floating directional AeroRotors with billet aluminum AeroHat, billet aluminum mounting brackets with stainless steel hubs, DOT-compliant stainless steel braided Teflon brake lines, high performance street pads and forged, high performance, patented calipers.

The rear kit (part # 83.160.0047.xx) features ST-40 four piston calipers and 345x32mm rotors, while two front kits (part #83.160.4C00.xx and 83.160.6800.xx) feature 355x35mm rotors with a ST-40 four piston or 380x32mm rotor with ST-60 six piston calipers, respectively.

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series compact car, developed by BMW's branch BMW M. M3 models have been derived from the E30, E36, E46 and E90/E92/E93 3-series, and sold with coupé, sedan and convertible body styles. Common upgrades over the "standard" 3-Series automobiles include more powerful and responsive (yet at times smaller) engines, improved handling/suspension, more aggressive aerodynamics/body, and multiple interior/exterior accents with the "M"/Motorsport nomenclature

The new 2008+ E90/E92 BMW M3 brakes join prior StopTech front BBKs for the 2000-2007 BMW E46 M3. One kit (part # 83.137.6700.xx) features two ST-60 six piston calipers with 355x32 rotors, while the two other prior kits (part #83.137.4700.xx and 83.137.4600.xx) feature ST-40 four piston calipers with either 355x32 or 332x32 rotors, respectively. StopTech also offers a wide range of BBK options for the 1999+ BMW 3-series platforms.
